Limited Edition Norell New York Perfume

Norell New York, a luxe fragrance company, has partnered with Baccarat to produce a limited edition Parfum/Perfume this holiday season.

Baccarat only produced 500 handmade bottles for this perfume at their factory in France, and they are the most gorgeous things you have ever seen.

Norell New York Plus, among the craftsmen is Michel Barge, who is an “Elite Craftsman of France,” adding to the rarity of each unique Norell New York limited edition piece. The Baccarat Parfum is priced at $1,500 available at Neiman Marcus and Bergdorf Goodman. However, if that takes away from your Hermes Birkin fund, then consider the more price friendly signature Eu de Parfum for $150.

In each bottle of the iconic fragrance, Norell New York contains over 200 Jasmine petals and one of the most noble and expensive ingredients, Orris Butter. Particularly, it falls into the green floral category, and envelopes the wearer with its top notes of Galbanum, Bergamot, Pear and Mandarin, the middle notes of Jasmine Petals, Peony, Orchid, Gardenia, and the base of Orris Butter, Vetiver, Sandalwood, Vanilla, Musk.

It’s one of those unique fragrances that not everyone has, and, in my experience for the week I’ve worn it, garners people to stop me to ask questions about its name. However, it also stops me when I encounter a pillow, a shirt, or other fabric that has retained the fragrance – and I fall in love with the scent all over again. It is simple glamour in a bottle.

While the designer Norman Norell, who is the inspiration behind the fragrance, has translated the mystique of French Couture to the closets of America with his elegant, feminine ready-to-wear looks, the Norell New York perfume has that French “je ne sais sue”, but with a clean American feel making the scent elevate the glam factor of an outfit of tees and jeans.

So if you want to start of 2016 with a new signature fragrance, then check out this fragrance before you consider sniffing anything else!
